Reading your MEPCO bill

Reference number (14 digits) — your permanent account identifier, top-left of the bill. It never changes, even if your name or tariff does.
Consumer ID (10 digits) — an alternative login for the same account; both pull the identical bill.
Units & slab rate — Pakistan's progressive tariff: the more units, the higher the per-unit rate. Check which slab you fell into this month.
Due date vs. valid date — pay by the due date to avoid the late-payment surcharge printed on the bill.
FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment) — a variable line item that changes monthly with fuel costs.
